What Inspired You to Move to the Mountains: The desire to be immersed in the mountain culture and pursue a lifestyle that it can provide.

What Do You Do For Work: I am a freelance web/software engineer who works hard in my professional career, allowing me to pursue my goals in alpinism and splitboard mountaineering. The freedom it gives me to make my own schedule in order to train and play in the mountains constantly is the ultimate reward.

Advice to Help Someone Make the Leap to Live Their Life: Initiating real change in life can be a difficult process and does not occur as quickly as one might envision. The key that helped me pursue a path to becoming a mountain athlete is focusing on any and all positive changes in my life, no matter how small or insignificant they felt. I have come to understand that the real path to achieving a goal resembles a long, gradual upward curve, where small changes reinforce a positive mindset that allow for success, opening up even larger goals in the future.
